• Dispose of burnable waste to the compactor

Responsibilities:
• Visually inspect paper for defects and remove paper which does not meet quality standards
• Square reams of inspected paper
• Inspect random sheets on light box
• Notch reams of paper
• Operate Counting Machine and Scanning Machine
• Ensure accurate quantity of paper in each ream by adding/removing paper as needed for each ream
• Prepare samples from each skid, correctly labeling each
• Take relative humidity readings for each skid and accurately record results
• Ensure accurate ream count for each skid
• Wrap and label each skid and move full skids from stacking station to wrapping area
• Properly label and move baled broke from baler and skid broke to designated area
• Use the SMART System for ream tracking

• Assist with roll changes and removing jammed paper from the Sheeter

Assessment/Triage Activities:

  • Conduct a preliminary and if necessary, in-depth Housing Needs Based Assessment to best determine eligibility for financial assistance when appropriate and available.
  • Identify resources and services as requested and/or needed to address barriers to housing and assistance with financial applications
  • Develop partnerships and collaborations with internal and external service providers to ensure customer receives comprehensive services
  • Work collaboratively with other internal staff to assist customer with move-in transition supports including but not limited to; furniture and furnishings assistance, budget support, and other resources and services as needed

Intake Activities:

  • Conducts initial customer intakes, inform customers about available resources and related program protocol and requirements as well as other internal programs, obtains necessary background information from customers and track customer cases from opening to closing.
  • Maintains electronic records, in accordance with agency and agency’s funders’ standards and requirements and works to assure confidentiality of said records.
  • Develops, maintains, and uses an accurate, up-to-date resource file that contains information on available community resources including data on similar and/or related services that may address the needs of persons seeking assistance with housing, homelessness, and related issues.
  • Assists with outreach activities including but not limited to contacting other social service agencies and clients regarding services and programming available.

Housing Stabilization:

  • Track all families receiving HomeBASE or other financial assistance on a monthly basis to ensure stabilization assessments are completed and that family remains successful with their Housing Plan.
  • Ensure that subsidized households receiving HomeBASE assistance receive monthly check-ins and lease compliance checks; and non-subsidized households receive monthly checks-ins and ensure that progress reports are completed on indicators of moving towards self-sufficiency.

• Communicate and coordinate with staff from multiple departments to achieve program goals.

• Preparing and entering general journal entries as necessary for allocation of costs.

• Supervises the accounting team and is able to fill in for the Finance Director in their absence.

Requirements:
Education:  B.A. in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
